Meet Heather

Heather blends creative vision with a love of learning in her roles as Creative Director and Learning Designer at The Tapestry. She shapes the organization’s brand identity and visual presence to reflect its mission of growth and transformation. Gifted with the ability to see both forest and trees, she leads projects from concept to execution—planning, organizing, designing, and creating across a range of platforms. Heather thrives on weaving storytelling and strategy together, where creativity meets purpose. For Heather, each project is an opportunity to build meaning and connection through design, making complexity feel clear and approachable.

Drawing on her background as a classroom teacher, teacher mentor, designer and adult learner, Heather brings hands-on experience to her work. Her portfolio spans volunteer training, corporate learning, client and customer education, and now at The Tapestry she supports facilitators with dynamic, interactive materials that close skill gaps and foster cultural transformation. She’s passionate about learning that engages, empowers, and evolves with people’s needs.

Heather holds a Master’s in Teaching from Seattle University and a Bachelor’s from the University of Washington. She’s also certified in e-Learning and Instructional Design and has a diploma in Landscape Design. Forever a learner herself, she’s energized by exploring new creative tools and designing experiences that leave a lasting impact.

"It truly was a pleasure for our team to partner with Heather to design and build out the Manager level of our internal leadership development program. From the beginning of the project, Heather was thoughtful and took the time to understand our organization’s culture, leadership philosophy, and program goals before shaping the design.

Her expertise in instructional design and adult learning translated into engaging, relevant, and applicable content that truly resonated with our leaders. We particularly appreciated the level of detail she put into an easy-to-follow facilitator guide, and we were able to see the difference this made when we launched the inaugural cohort in the spring of this year.

Heather did such a nice job of balancing structure, interactive learning experiences, practical tools, and real-world scenarios that strengthened the program’s impact. Throughout the project, Heather was collaborative, responsive, and exceptionally professional. She was a true partner and we would absolutely work with Heather again in the future should the opportunity present itself."
