Meet Ben

BEN SCHICK
Coach & Facilitator

Ben is an accomplished leadership coach, team and family facilitator, and somatic teacher. Clients value Ben’s ability to build trust quickly and get to the heart of the matter, using an invitational, appreciative approach. He uses proven embodied, integral, and linguistic frameworks to help individuals and teams navigate change and create high-impact, collaborative cultures where people thrive. He designs conversations and practices that support people to engage in dialogue and move more freely in collaboration with others.

 

Ben began his career honing his skills as a senior executive, leading six organizations over 20 years. As Executive Director, his leadership brought workshops to 100,000 middle and high school students a year with Challenge Day, an award-winning program highlighted by Oprah Winfrey and MTV that dramatically reduced bullying and suicide in schools across the U.S. Notably, he spent nine years as CEO of MediaOne Services, the premiere broadcasting, satellite, and studio production hub in the San Francisco Bay Area, serving marquee clients such as NBC, HP, and the San Francisco Giants.

 

He has worked extensively with leaders across a wide range of industries including: Tech, AI Industry, Healthcare, Fintech, Entertainment, Human Insight, Biomimicry, Services for addiction and the formerly incarcerated, Diplomacy, and Philanthropy. He also works with UHNW families experiencing intergenerational wealth transitions.

 

Representative clients include Apple, Adobe, Airbnb, Kaiser Permanente, Ohio Health, Propeller Fish, The Car Group, and The Womens Earth Alliance.

 

Ben has served as a member of the Strozzi Institute for Somatics faculty for nearly a decade for Personal Mastery/Leadership courses. He has been a certified executive coach since 1998, and holds additional certificates with programs such as Stagen Leadership, Choice Theory, Attitude Reconstruction, and Holotropic Breathwork. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UCLA and a Master in Organizational Development degree from Antioch University.

 

Outside of his professional life, Ben enjoys spending time in nature rowing and rafting.
